Proposed Projects 

  Proposed 6th Five Year Plan :
 

1. Poverty Reduction in Monga Region of Northern Bangladesh through Sericulture Extension (2011-2015):


The estimated cost of the project under the caption above is Tk. 1700.00 lakh. The objectives of the project are as follows:-

(a) To create employment facility of 25 thousand people;
(b) To cultivate mulberry plants in 2000 acres land;
(c) Production of 50,000 kgs.cocoons in every year;
(d)  Production of 5,000 kgs. (Five Metric Tons) spun silk;
(e) To provide Boshnies/sericulture Farmers with grant;
(f)  To produce cocoons;
(g)  To execute construction works and conduct other allied activities; and
(h)  Acquisition of land, etc.

 

   
 

 

   
 

  2.  Integrated Plan for Extension and Development of Sericulture in Bangladesh (2011-2015)

Estimated cost of the above project is Tk.2800.00 lakh. The objectives of this project are as follows:-


 
(a) To create employment facility of 25 thousand people;
(b) To cultivate mulerry in 3,000 acres land;
(c) To produce 4.00 lakh kgs. cocoons in every year;
(d)  To produce 40,000 kgs.(400 metric Tons) spun Silk;
(e) To provide Boshnies/Sericulture Farmers with grant;
(f) To produce cocoons;
(g) To execute construction works and conduct other allied activities; and
(h) Acquisition of land etc.
