Poverty
Reduction in Monga Region of Northern Bangladesh
through Sericulture Extension (2011-2015): |
The estimated cost of the project under the
caption above is Tk. 1700.00 lakh. The objectives of
the project are as follows:

To create employment facility of 25
thousand people; |
| (b) |
To cultivate mulberry plants in 2000 acres land; |
| (c) |
Production of 50,000 kgs.cocoons in every year;

| (d) |
Production of 5,000 kgs. (Five Metric Tons) spun
silk; |
| (e) |
To provide Boshnies/sericulture Farmers with grant; |
| (f) |
To produce cocoons; |
| (g) |
To execute construction works and conduct other
allied activities; and |
| (h) |
Acquisition of land, etc. |

Integrated
Plan for Extension and Development of Sericulture
in Bangladesh (2011-2015) |
Estimated cost of the above project is Tk.2800.00
lakh. The objectives of this project are as follows:

To produce 4.00 lakh kgs. cocoons in every year; |
| (d) |
To produce 40,000 kgs.(400 metric Tons) spun Silk; |

To provide Boshnies/Sericulture Farmers with grant; |

To produce cocoons; |
| (g) |
To execute construction works and conduct other
allied activities; and |
| (h) |
Acquisition of land etc. |
