Member (Finance and Planning) is the head of the division. Assist the Chairman & Board on all financial matters of the Board. The division is controlled by two sub-divisions:

1) Finance Sub-Division:

Headed by Chief Accounts Officer remain responsible direct to the Member (Finance & Planning). The key duties are:

· Responsible for all financial matters and to devise financial rules, regulation etc. for the Board and its different projects and offices;

·   Prepare  Revenue   &  Development  Budgets  for  Board,  Projects   &
different offices and make budgetary control of the Board and its projects;

·   Process all papers for release of funds from the government;

·  Responsible for interpretation of Govt. rules, regulations and suggest proper course of action where necessary;

2) Planning Sub-Division:

Headed by Chief Planning, responsible direct to the Member (Finance & Planning). The key duties are:

·   Prepare  Five   years  Plan  &  Perspective   Plan  for  development   of
sericulture & silk industry in the light of the policy decisions taken by BSB within the frame work of national objectives and policies;

·   Prepare Annual Development Plans (ADP) & Programmes in the light of the policy decision of the BSB;

·   Prepare   various  development  projects  and  help  other  public  sector
organisations to prepare plan and programmes on development of sericulture and silk Industry;

·   Timely   monitoring   and    proper    implementation   of     the   various
development plans programmes for the Board;

·    Project Annual Reports of the Board.

3) Development & Maintenance Section (Engineering Section) :

Headed by Executive Engineer, responsible direct to Member (Finance & Planning) : The key duties are :

·  Responsible for preparation of detailed plan, design and estimate for construction and repairing works of the Board;

·   Responsible  for  preparation   of   Tender  Schedules,   processing   and
finalizing of tenders;

·   Responsible for execution of agreements and work orders for all kinds of construction and repairs and supervise civil, electrical & all other technical  works.
